So, it’s been a month!

teacuppamela.png Hmmmmmmmm.  So, all that happened.

It looks like a month has passed since I last made a blog entry.  I’ve thought about blogging stuff… actually, I’ve thought about it a lot. But I’ve been thinking I ought to steer clear of controversial stuff — and wow! has there ever been some controversial stuff going on!  But then I’ve thought that if I steer clear of commenting on controversial stuff, well, maybe there’s not a whole lot else to write about — no, wait, there is nothing that’s not controversial to someone.  Then, if I write about mundane things, well, what’s the point in that?  If I’ve just lived something pretty mundane, I’m sure not inclined to write about it — though mundane is pretty subjective, isn’t it?  My mundane just might be your idea of a thrill and your mundane just might be something I’d savour.  Well, so anyway… I haven’t been writing for many reasons.

It’s been s-u-n-n-y and I’ve been working outside.
I’ve been smelling the roses.
Really.
We’ve been enjoying our son, Timothy, home on furlough —  a two month visit from Ghana… The visit is more than half over.
We’ve been celebrating birthdays, milestones and children’s scholastic achievements.

I don’t often write about all the stuff that’s going on anyway — for many reasons — but one of the main reasons is that I don’t want to sound like I am always repeating myself to family & friends who read this blog.  I start in on a marvelous story and they glaze over and drift off to sleep… sorry, read it already in your blog — spare us the details. A second time.  I don’t write about other stuff that’s going on bcz mu family appreciates demands needs some semblance of anonymity.

So, maybe tomorrow I decompress here what’s been going on over the last month or so. Pictures and stories and such.  If nothing else, it’ll be nostalgic to me someday — that, and my family and friends already lived it so they can just smile with me over what the Lord has done.

In the meantime… some light reading.  I mean, Light reading… go here.

O, and you thought I was going to write about MJ.  Or unemployment.  Or global cooling warming. Or the eligibility of the President.  Or cap ‘n trade.  Or the gvmnt run media.  Or this. Or this!.

more slip slidin’ away…

teacuppamela.pngI’m going to be gardening in the sunshine tomorrow… so a few things I’ll probably be thinking about as I dig around in the dirt.  So, here’s some.  (yeah, it was intended)

“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

1 John 2.16

BHObama declares June …pride month.

‘guess I’ll be heading into the my library to see this year’s display.  Last year’s show at our library was quite bold.

  • WND’s David Kupelian writes an excellent and timely article. [note when it was written]; you may remember I’ve written in support of his very insightful work many times and have suggested reading his book The Marketing of Evil.

    • This, from WorldNet Daily today, June 2, 2009:  “Author’s note: Although I wrote the following article two weeks ago for the June edition of Whistleblower titled  “DON’T TREAD ON ME,” for release later this week),  the murder of Wichita abortionist George Tiller, M.D., makes its message especially urgent.”

Take time to read the article — it will be worth your while.  It, like his other writings, is insightful, thougthful and thorough.  I think his reasoning is sound — I wouldn’t recommend it if I thought otherwise.

  • More anti religion in schools… another very good reason to choose to *home educate* the children in your family.   Perhaps when more children are home educated with historically accurate curriculum the Constitution of The United States of America will be properly applied.

The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States reads: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

  • And another entry in the ‘curiouser and curiouser’ category in freedom of assembly — this time for a home Bible study gathering.  I wonder if that county official would have sought to break up the meeting or joined the group for punch and cookies had it been a packed out, full house, cars lining the street, reelect Obama meeting.   I’m just sayin…
  • Some people are still watching for Obama’s birthcert… no, not that one, the original.  Dontcha wonder what’s on it?

I know, personally, that one can own two very different but very identical looking “original” birth certificates.  I know I could present one or the other and either would be accepted as proof of my birth.  I know the one that’s real and the one that replaced it when I was adopted by my mother’s husband.  I keep wondering (if the allegations are correct regarding all the descrepencies) how long it’ll be before the truth is finally made known.  Sad thing is — even if it’s found to be another lie, it really won’t matter much to a vast number of people.  They’re willing to blindly follow the man who, along with his administration, has destroyed or eroded much of America’s strength and foundation of freedom.

  • I wrote some observations regarding the death of ‘dr.’ George Tiller yesterday.  I’m still thinking about his life and his demise.  Again, I am not ‘glad’ or any other similar thought that he is dead.  But I am thankful that no baby was murdered in his office yesterday or today.  And he will not murder another one tomorrow.  It’s been reported that he was one of three persons who performed ‘late term abortions’ in the US.  I pray the other two will voluntarily close their doors.

I’m not sure how people can possibly miss the gruesome, deplorable acts of this man — his manipulation, deception and sick practices are nothing less that atrociously shocking.  I pray the attention being given to his ‘life’ will assault deadened senses and make people aware of the absolute barbaric and deplorable practice this society has not only accepted but fought to uphold.

This sad and sickening story is but one example of a ‘patient’ whose emotions were greedily, sadistically exploited — one of the tens of thousands who were swindled, manipulated and deceived by this now deceased murderer.  Wiki is filling fast.

Killing that man wasn’t the answer.  Killing babies is not the answer.

Two Killers – Two Tragedies.

teacuppamela.pngA career is ended.  During that infamous career, tens of thousands of innocent people were killed.

A tragedy to be sure.  I think of this all day today; what a shame — what a tragic end.  A man responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent children.  I consider these things all day.  I decided to refrain from reading editorials about the man… the man who was shot while attending & ushering at ‘church’ yesterday.  I wonder why he went to church.  I wonder how he could do what he did tens of thousands of times and not only ‘attend church’ but hold the office of usher in that congregation.  I wonder, how could his conscience be so seared that he was past feeling or past personal responsibility?  How could he be so depraved he didn’t recognize his work was beyond reprehensible?  For a little bit, I get tripped up in the thought:  how could he do that?  He was totally given over to a reprobate mind.

But then I go back to my initial reaction when I first read the article in the paper this morning… killing that killer was not the answer (other attempts to take his life, bombings, etc., were also not the answer — for the record).

Tonight I mull over… was this such a tragedy bcz his actions so horrifically despicable and now there is no possible opportunity for him to express remorse for knowingly, willingly, murdering tens of thousands of viable human beings?  Or, was it so heinous bcz he lied to all those mothers and profited from all those deaths?  Or, that now, someone else will imprisoned and will likely be lawfully executed for killing that killer? I can see why he did it – or, rather, I can imagine why — but there is no excuse for it.

But in all of this, I imagine the point of focus will not be on the abortionist, George Tiller, and will perhaps, eventually, not even really be on the gunman who entered that church and committed the murder — but the focus will likely be shifted to anti-abortion extremists (read: right-wing extremists), anyone who vocalizes opposition to abortion or who peacefully protest abortion (or anything else).

I do pray this event will make people stop and consider abortion for what it is — and not allow this tragic event to draw attention away from the heinous atrocity of abortion in this country (and around the world). I pray that people will wake up to the fact that abortion is a sin — a national tragedy — a judgment on society.  I pray that people will see that abortions not only happen at the hands of so-called doctors, like Tiller, but by abortifacients such as birth-control pills and IUD’s and medications given to women who want to kill their babies.  I pray this tragic event will cause people to take another look at the lie of abortion — that people will see abortion is not a choice — it’s murder; and that abortion is not ‘family planning’ but death in a family.  Abortion is not a right; abortion is a wrong.

So this day’s nearly over.  Lives have been forever changed, lost or destroyed.  Truly sad, truly tragic.

Again, I am not thankful George Tiller is dead.  But I am thankful he will never have another opportunity kill another baby and will never cause more pain, death, grief or tragedy.

It is a tragedy he is dead, but the real tragedy is that this man will never have the opportunity to repent of his sin and turn to the LORD and give God glory for what could have been an honourable life.  George Tiller will never have the opportunity to repent and express genuine sorrow to all those he misled, for all the lies he lived and all the precious lives he destroyed.  Another sad case of two wrongs never equalling right.  Now, two killers, two tragedies.

American Tea Party

American Tea Party Song – Lloyd Marcus

The lyrics, copyright Zephyrus Music, are:

Mr President!
Your stimulus is sure to bust
Its just a socialistic scheme
The only thing it will do
Is kill the American Dream

You wanna take from achievers
Somehow you think that’s fair.
And redistribute to those folks
Who won’t get out of their easy chair.

We’re havin’ a tea party across this land
If you love this country
Come on and join our band
We’re standin’ up for freedom and liberty
Cause patriots have shown us freedom ain’t free

So when they call you a racist cause you disagree
It just another of their dirty tricks to silence you and me.
I believe in the Constitution and all it stands for.
Anyone who tramples it should be booted out the door.

We’re havin’ a tea party across this land
If you love this country
Come on and join our band
We’re standin’ up for freedom and liberty
Cause patriots have shown us freedom ain’t free

Now we’re not advocating violence
That’s what the so-called peace crowd do
We’re talkin’ peaceful protest to defend the red, white and blue

We gotta vote out these clowns who don’t love the USA
Who stay up late losing sleep fearing what the French might say

We’re havin’ a tea party across this land
If you love this country
Come on and join our band
We’re standin’ up for freedom and liberty
Cause patriots have shown us freedom ain’t free

We’re havin’ a tea party across this land
If you love this country
Come on and join our band
We’re standin’ up for freedom and liberty
Cause patriots have shown us freedom ain’t free

Freedom ain’t free
(Stand up for America)
Freedom ain’t free
(Gotta take a stand)
Freedom ain’t free
(Mr Obama)
Freedom ain’t free
(we work

hard for our money)
Freedom ain’t free
(Don’t give it away)
Freedom ain’t free
(Save the day)
Freedom ain’t free
(Don’t go givin’ it away)
Freedom ain’t free
(It ain’t gonna work)
Freedom ain’t free
(Give back our freedom)
Freedom ain’t free
(Give back our liberty)
Freedom ain’t free
(I love my country)

Lloyd’s website describes him as believing conservatism is compassionate and “the true path to achieving the American Dream.”

Abortion’s ugly lie

teacuppamela.pngEvery now and then it happens.  I wonder how many of times this has to happen before this civilized society sees abortion as the heinous atrocity it is.  When will pro-aborts see the truth that abortion is the destruction and death of precious baby – a human life.  Abortion destroys a baby.

Sycloria Williams knows that.   Now.  But she didn’t grasp that before she underwent the procedure that would kill her growing and thriving baby — her baby born alive.  The baby was thriving alive within her womb, was thriving alive outside her womb and then that baby was killed.  That’s what happened.  That’s the truth of abortion and it is just that gruesome. Whether that baby was killed before —or after— it was beheld by its mother — nothing was different about the baby.  It was living, moving, growing, thriving — alive.

It’s odd, really — but not surprising — that Miss Williams would now want to fight what happened to her baby.  O, sure she wanted to end that situation she was facing… sure she might have thought it was a problem to be pregnant at her age and socioeconomic situation.  But her reaction betrays the fact that she mustn’t have thought she was really pregnant with a real b-a-b-y — a real, live human-being.

This is why the sanctity of human life must be cherished and proclaimed and this is why morality matters.   The reality of the preciousness of life matters.

And every now and then reality assaults the senses and causes someone to personally come to grips with the fact that a murder or more happens in every abortion.   Abortion isn’t about the “choice” of a woman or “a woman’s right to choose.”   Abortion is about the death of a baby — a human being.   The account of that article is shocking — but really — consider that abortions are happening every day all across America and if more women were actually educated about the so-called ‘choice’ they were about to make, very few – I’d hazard to say – would make that sickening decision.  Very few.

It’s as if Miss Williams was shocked by the reality of Abortion’s Ugly LIE.

O……….. no.  It was a baby — what have I done!?!?!?!  And then, the instinctive mothering nature captures her heart and thoughts and she instantly reacts and hollowly screams:  Noooooooo… what have you done to my baby?!?!?!?!

And for one more baby… it was too late.

The Mothers Act

teacuppamela.pngThe MOTHERS ACT has been reintroduced in both the U.S. House of Representatives (H.R. 20 introduced Jan 6th 2009) and the U.S. Senate (S. 324 introduced Jan 26 2009).

Messages to members of Congress should be gracious, direct and to the point.

“The Mothers Act is a bill which will increase mental health screening of pregnant women and new mothers, despite the fact that the widely accepted treatment for women diagnosed with postpartum depression is antidepressant drugs — documented by the U.S. FDA to cause worsening depression, mania, psychosis, suicidal and homicidal ideation and birth defects. There is no language in the bill that would assure mothers are given non-drug options or accurate information about the subjectivity of the diagnoses (a checklist of questions) or the documented risks of psychiatric drugs. This violates informed consent and puts new mothers and their infants at risk.”

You’ll Have Free Speech (if you agree)

teacuppamela.pngAnother day… what’s next?   Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee has launched a petition against Rush Limbaugh.  This, to me, is amazing — ludicrous, really, in light of the fact that Barack Obama was given a free pass — unwavering acceptance and free coverage by the adoring press for the last 18 months or so.

This isn’t a Rush love-in — is not a blanket endorsement of Rush Limbaugh–sincerely, but is an encouragement to be mindful of treasured Constitutional rights. I offer this as an admonition to pay attention regarding the blessing of the rights of citizens of this free nation and further, if you think President Obama’s policies and proposals are in your best interest — the country’s best interest — they’re not.  They’re not truly in your best interest, nor your children’s, nor your great-great grandchildren’s.   Not only will the proposed policies have monstrously damaging results, this strike against or attempt at eliminating free speech or dissenting voices is fascism.

quotebegin.gifCongress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

News Dujour 1.26.9

teacuppamela.pngThe irony of headlines… one for preventing birth, one promoting.  Nancy Pelosi will likely regret the faulty logic she’s employing to suggest birthcontrol will help the economy.  A proponent of big huge government, Pelosi seems to forget or ignores the fact that socialism needs lots of new little producers (read: taxpayersandpayersandpayers) to support the regime.

The Canon corporation in Japan sees the negative result of low birthrate and is scrambling to reverse the trend of negative population numbers.  Simple economics reveals the crisis of a pregressive nations’ aging population and low birthrate (to support that aged population).  Same thing will happen in the US.  Speaking in strictly econmic terms, if government programs — free to all, citizen or no, continue to multiply out of control and if this nation loses ‘workers’ or revenue generators in the next few generations, this nation will never survive.  It can’t at the current rate, and it certainly won’t in the future.

squiggle.gif And people are protesting a fence along the US border??  Do you suppose the US would be able to handle DNA testing on the estimated ten million illegals in this country?!?!  In an attempt to curb or expel illegals, the French government is proposing to do such testing.  O, and for the record, I’m not anti-immigration.  Actually, quite the opposite — I’d say welcome home — honestly and lawfully come in the front door.

squiggle.gif  A prayer from the Word for today:

quotegraysmall.gif And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;  Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”  — philippians 1.9-11

About that Sad Day…

   teacuppamela.png

Now it will begin to be very clear as to why I wrote the blog entry: one-of-the-saddest-days-in-the-history-of-this-nation.  I knew I wasn’t alone in holding that opinion — and I know I’m not alone now.

Tens of millions of *innocent* children — unborn babies — have been murdered in this nation since the legalization and government sanctioned abortions.  It doesn’t seem to matter one iota what George Bush did in his tenure as President — but if nothing else, he did stand for life — he stood in the gap for millions and did so publicly and through legal policy.  Barack Obama reversed that policy today.   He had opportunity to stand for life.  He sat down with pen in hand and stands against innocent babies.  Abortion is not about women’s reproductive health, it’s not about basic healthcare.  It’s not even about a right to choose.  Because in that procedure, of three of the people in the room, only two of the voices are heard.  The third voice is silenced.  Death is not basic health.  Life is basic health.  Abortion is not family planning.

President Obama had an opportunity just yesterday to hear thousands of voices… to see thousands of hands in prayer for children, for the unborn, for this nation… thousands attempting to reach out to him to change his mind and stand in the gap for *helpless* individuals.  Instead he did not.

That’s just the beginning of the consequences of one of the saddest days in this nation.

Opportunities to be civil, to be gracious and to be honourable have been missed this week.  Was it too much to just be gracious to the former president?  Was it too much to be gracious to the citizens of the United States by acknowledging that there were tens of millions of law abiding citizens who did not for vote for but are being governed by this Change?   Citizens who, because of his decisions, are forced to pay for unconscionable policies and unprecedented national debt.

It’s a new day…  This, in regards to Obama’s being ‘sworn in’ a second time (in the Oval Office) following the original bungling of the Presidential Oath of Office on Inauguration Day.

quotebegin.gifFour reporters witnessed the oath of office and shared their observations with others, and a White House photo was released.

“We think it was done in a way that was upfront and transparent,” White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said in a briefing when questioned why video cameras were not present. [and there was no Bible]

Pressed on the matter, Gibbs said, “we would have had to get a bigger room.” [and a Bible]

I mean, truly, even Lyndon Johnson had a Bible on which to place his hand taking the oath of office on Air Force One in 1963 following the assassination of John F. Kennedy.   Could there possibly not have been a Bible in the whole White House?  Could there be another reason?
