Stand For Life

That’s what missing in the Planned Parenthood equation: Love. That life is precious, that man was made in God’s image and that God in His great love and mercy created us all. All of us. May we stand for life and do so in Love.

melianewbornhand2It’s hard to remember the humanity behind egregious behavior sometimes.  That, and our own desperate need for the same love, respect, patience, forgiveness and forbearance despite our own sinful behaviour, our sin-filled pasts, our lapses of good judgment, our folly.   We forget, in viewing inhumane behaviour, in the heat of disagreement, and frustration and horrified emotion, that we, but for the grace of God could be in their very same shoes.  Planned Parenthood’s barbaric practice of killing — destroying life — dismembering babies and contracting with companies the sale and distribution of those body parts is so grotesque that it’s hard to even imagine — it’s incomprehensible.   The astonishing thing about this though, is that even though it so assaults our senses that we cannot fathom how civilized individuals could possibly engage in such activity, let alone organize it, the truth is: we are could be doing, or are capable of doing, the very same thing.  That’s a sickening thought, isn’t it?

[cp_quote style=”quote_left_dark”]For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”[/cp_quote]We know we need it — even demand it at times, but everyone needs love and patience and forgiveness and hope.  It’s what distinguishes us as human.  But what also distinguishes us as human is that without Christ, without accepting the gift of salvation through Him, we are destined for hell, we are unrestrained, we are unredeemed.  It is a gift and it is by the grace of God that we can even see this — that He loved us while we were yet sinners and died in our place that we might have redemption through His shed blood and live with Him eternally.  Sin eternally separates us from God but Jesus, who is the Way the Truth and the Life, breaks the bonds of sin and separation and gives us redemption by grace through faith in Him.  Jesus came that we might have life and that more abundantly.  This is the love of God.That’s what missing in the Planned Parenthood equation: Love.

That life is precious, that man was made in God’s image and that God in His great love and mercy created us all.  All of us.

May we stand for life and do so in Love.
May we stand for those whose voices have been destroyed.
May we stand with those who think they have no other options; give them love, give them the truth, give them hope.
May we stand for Truth.
May we stand against destroying life.
May we stand against selling body parts of destroyed babies.
May we remember to be: p.e.a.c.e.f.u.l.
May we remember to be: k.i.n.d.
May we remember to: Love.
May we ever remember that everyone’s going through something.

The Day Luther Died

By Jonathan Parnell | Feb 18, 2013 12:00 am

OriginalIn Germany 467 years ago, in a small, backwater town called Eisleben, the shaking hand of a dying man scribbled this simple line: We are beggars. This is true.

Martin Luther died on February 18, 1546. These last words of weakness echoed the life-changing truth he’d unearthed in the Scriptures: we don’t bring anything to the table of our justification. Jesus truly died for the ungodly.

Luther came to understand that if we are to be accepted by God, we need a perfect righteousness we can’t produce — we need an alien righteousness given to us by Another.

But this discovery didn’t just happen. It came after hours of the painstaking study of Scripture. Luther gave himself to the Book, which he later explained as the primary actor in the Protestant Reformation. And a great movement of God in our day won’t happen apart from that same ingredient. Pastors and Christian leaders must be devoted to God’s word.

So we have much to learn from Luther, says John Piper.

Luther was the subject of Piper’s biographical message at the 1995 Conference for Pastors. We’ve since reformatted that message into a five-chapter ebook, which presents a sketch of Luther’s life and distills relevant lessons for not only pastors and leaders, but all Christians.

The Truth (About Abortion) Will Set You Free

By John Piper | Feb 17, 2013 12:00 am

Facts help us grasp abortion in our communities. With the internet no one is innocently ignorant. Here are some facts from the Twin Cities to San Antonio. There are no grizzly pictures here. But there are some miracles. I won’t show you what the babies look like after they are killed, but before.

Start with the on-the-ground facts. There are five places to get elective abortions in the Twin Cities, Planned Parenthood (671 Vandalia St.,
St. Paul), Robbinsdale Clinic (3819 West Broadway, Minneapolis), Mildred Hanson (710 East 24th St., Minneapolis) and two locations of the Whole Woman’s Health (33 South 5th St, Minneapolis, and 825 S. 8th St. #1018 Minneapolis). I encourage you to visit them and pray, or perhaps see if any of the workers will talk with you.

All of them do abortions up to 13 weeks gestation. Here is what the baby looks like at 13 weeks.

Mildred Hanson advertises that she does abortions to twenty weeks. Two pictures show the babies she is willing to dismember.

Whole Woman’s Health advertises that they do abortions to 22 weeks. This little fellow, at 22 weeks, is ready to fight for his life.

In addition, Whole Woman’s Health advertises that their San Antonio facility will do surgical abortions through 24 weeks.

But at 24 weeks babies are being born and thriving. Here are a few examples. (If you want to see the 23 week babies when born and then years later go here.) If you want names and ages check out the L’il Aussie Prems Foundation.

These pictures are of babies born at the age when they are being legally killed. The irrationality of our legal system is that we are expected to believe that a seven inch movement down the birth canal transforms a child from one with no right to life into a person under law with full rights of protection. This is the kind of reasoning that creates Gulags and death camps. Whatever else may be said of these children, if they had been dismembered and evacuated one hour before they were born at 24 weeks, it would not have been tissue that was lost.

I encourage you to do your part by putting the facts before as many people as you can. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

the battle to expose corruption

The story – the battle – the man – taking on the “biggest organized crime syndicate in the country.”
Phill Kline’s courageous battle to expose and take down Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood (an oxymoron if I ever heard one!)  is attempting to destroy this innocent man.  It’s attempting to do to this man what it does to millions of innocent children every year.

Go to the site and read… Go to the site and listen to the February 15th webcast.  Honestly, if you’ve not been reading about the heinous practices of planned parenthood, you will be shocked. It’s worth the time you’ll spend listening.  Exposing the extreme corruption of Planned Parenthood is becoming more and more of a a risk to the man, his family and his livelihood.

Planned Parenthood is not about parenthood any more than abortion is about reproductive rights.

In thinking about it, I never really knew much about Planned Parenthood (I was probably fooled by the positive sounding name) and didn’t know what they were really about until I read some magazine articles after my husband and I were first married.  The articles were about women who’d been duped by the lie that abortion was not really about killing a baby and on and on.  Abortion is not a reproductive issue — it’s a death issue.  When those women realized what abortion really meant – it was too late and they knew it.  They know it until the day they die.

Mary Pride had great insight on this when she referred to Planned Parenthood as Planned Barrenhood in her 1985 book The Way Home.  She describes family planning as “the mother of abortion.  A generation had to be indoctrinated in the ideal of planning children around personal convenience before abortion could become popular.” [p. 77]

What we all didn’t know in those earlier days was how wide and far reaching this killing machine would span and how many lives would be affected — how many would die and how many lives would be destroyed — but this business encompasses much more than all that.

The widespread corruption is far more egregious than could have been imagined.  Shouldn’t have been that hard to imagine… when a whole bunch of money’s involved… follow the money…

And then… the Truth will come

Today’s mess news:  Eyes on Wisconsin… then keep ’em open toward DC, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, California — and Idaho.   Just keep watching… this looks to be the groundswell of a massive eruption, an avalanche of chaos and destruction.   Omy, it’s just so incredible to be alive during this time in history.

I frequently find myself  marveling:  the whole world’s gone mad.  It’s all around us —  just open today’s paper, click on whatever news media you favour or whatever social media you frequent. The words, the sounds, the grumbling…  like the rumbling of the land before a volcanic eruption.  The land is surely rumbling today… emotions are surely erupting.  And it’s getting louder…

Mobs telling lies and mobs of people believing them — these are creating societal knee jerk reactions at rapid-fire speed, with mob mentality reigning the day.   Consider the oldest enticement of man: “Yea, hath God said , Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”  Rocking contentment with the oldest enticement: mockery.  And it’s continued in many forms from that day to this… appealing to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

And then… the Truth will come.

I think ignorance and greed are the most destructive of all societal movements and, surely, it’s ignorance and greed fueling the protests and demonstrations now gathering unparalleled speed in our country and in the world.

Today’s a prime example of information technology being a blessing and a curse.  I.T. instantly imparts information and then creates or fuels or fans the fire of discontent, ignorance, greed and rage — for it is all of these human emotions that instantly react to the call of the mob.  All of these emotions can be manipulated to propel the cause — whatever the cause is… Unions, Abortions,

It’s all about power — the bigger the mob, the greater the power.  And, as was seen through the campaign process in the last Presidential election — it really doesn’t matter an iota if the mob knows what the rally is really about – what the ramifications of the protest will be or what they will really lose in the process. The mob wants power and they feel as though their voice is being heard and, thus,  they’re gaining power.  The mob becomes ravenous and, like most mobs, becomes unreasonable — even irresponsible —  defending the cause — even if they don’t really know what it is.

And then… the Truth will come.

I pray as I write this that I am keeping/will keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, trusting in Him — His Word — the Truth.  And that you, whoever you are, reading this, will trust in the Lord will all your heart and lean not on your own understanding…  I pray we’ll all see beyond what we see and hear beyond what we hear that we will be found occupying until we see That Day appearing.

It’s just a matter of time… the Truth will come.

Even so, Come, Lord Jesus.
