One of our greatest obstacles to prayer is ANSWERED prayer. We assume we know how God will answer - how He will work -- that because He has answered in a specific way in the past -- He will do thus now. We must seek what God *will* do, not just on what He *has* done. If we prayer for what we think God can answer, we limit Him to our own imagination instead of being open to *whatever* HE will do or however HE will answer and lead.

Prayers for Marilyn Moll

I would like to ask you to pray for Marilyn Moll (aka The Urban Homemaker) and the Moll family as they mourn the loss of  husband and father, Duane.  Marilyn’s husband Duane passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday night.

I’m struck once again with the brevity and fragility of life and how mere moments can make such an incredible difference.   I consider how my husband’s life so suddenly and dramatically changed when he had a heart attack the day after his birthday [...]

Well, if there’s any money today, it’s all theirs. And all along you thought it was the IRS. Well, if you’re like us, you’ve spent this day wisely calculating every penny and every documented deduction, receipt, form, etc., etc. And if you’re like us, you’ve taken a look at your bank account and have reached the annual conclusion that it’s all theirs — or break that word up and see it: the irs.
