A Titus 2 Journey ~ Week 2 ~ wisdom

A Titus 2 Journey ~ Week 2  Apply our hearts to wisdom

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers,  not given to much wine, teachers of good things;  That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands,  to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands,  that the word of God be not blasphemed.   Titus 2. 3-5

Titus 2 ~ Week Two

Action: Read the Titus-2 Journey verses:  Titus 2.3-5

♥ This Week’s Verse:  “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.”
–Psalm 90.12

  • what does verse this say/mean?  Seek Scriptural support for your answer.
  • Taking a look at the previous 11 verses will give clarity.
  • Note that, as we studied last week, the wise woman builds her house but the foolish woman plucks it down with her own hands.  So then, the wise woman applies her heart to wisdom.

Thoughts for discussion:

  • How do I spend my days?  Do I spend them as though they are endless or numbered?
  • What is my/our prayer & goal for the year ahead of me?
  •  What am I doing to be prepared?
  •  What does the LORD  want me to be doing?  —Scripture?

A little deeper

  •  What does my husband expect/prefer for my days and my time?  Have I ever even asked him?
    (Ask him!!)
  • Will I listen to him and seek to apply what he suggests?
    (Remember the wise woman…)

Affirmations/Decisions for the week ahead

  • What do I need to concentrate on immediately?
  • What daily schedule/plan/routine do I  (or will I endeavor to)  follow?
(pray about this; write it out! number your days )
  •  Prayer/Accountability:  If at all possible, during the time of this study, seek to have a prayer partner, or ask a trusted sister/friend if she would be willing to partner with you in prayer as you work through this study.
