♥ US politics

The contents of this page will center on the US government, politics, society, et al.
And will continually ask the question or reveal the answers to How did we end up here?

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. –Romans 8.28
This page will be an ongoing zigzagging stash of news, society, and current/past political articles – with the chief aim, where are we as a divided culture and how did we get here today? And, most importantly, where is the church and what is God doing, revealing, showing us in all of this?  For sure, He’s still on the throne and none of all of these things have escaped His gaze.

So, why does it matter that we pay attention to what’s going on around us? Is there great worth in staying involved politically – or staying up to date on current events? I think so.  I think so bcz we continually must be ready to give an answer for the hope that is within us.  We don’t have to be experientially familiar with culture to evaluate it, but we do need to have some basic awareness.  In addition, one of the greatest tools the devil uses is lies.  Lies repeated oft enough may begin to sound normal, plausible, right.  Lemme give an example.  There was a “Christian” song out in the 1980’s and the lyrics seemed/sounded Scriptural — but they were twisted (in order to fit the song – or to sing well) ♪ ♫where your heart is, ♪ ♫ there your treasure will be… ♪ ♫ where your heart is… But is that what Scripture says? Is that the intent of Scripture?  The Scripture actually says, in Matthew 6.21, “Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”  Subtle difference.  But its importance is imperative.

Remember: “Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hat God said…?” — Genesis 3.1

What difference does it make if you think of ISIS as ISIS or as ISIL?  Think the difference might just be a subtle one? A helpful exposé is here in an American Thinker article.

And then there are the women’s marches.  Interesting that the New York Post is weighing in on the issue, of the upcoming march, with this article.  I fear that ignorant women are going along with no understanding who’s behind these marches and what the organizers agendas are. The unintended consequences might prove to be very interesting, however.

Long train coming…. a slow train, picking up speed.  We cannot afford to not pay attention.
What has contributed to where we are today?
1991… Barack Obama, Harvard speech. Pay attention.
